KYUKETU SAMURAI (吸血侍): A Bloody Good Treat for Halloween

By Chris Rennirt

Could Space Jockey Reviews ever let Halloween pass without an encore pictorial from our favorite of girlie ghouls and blood-soaked beauties? Of course not! Let not your craving heart be troubled! Kyuketu Samurai is here again, just in time for the spooky season, with photos that speak (and scream) for themselves. With treats enough to fill your goodie bag, she delivers, eternally replenished, with blood as her resurrection. With vital, terrifying beauty she radiates, vibrant, full-blooded, and wildly alive. Yes! Here again, with scares to spare, is Kyuketu, with sanguine stills and paranormal poses, bloody beautiful and awesomely horrific, just in time for Halloween!

What better way to start than with quotes from literature (some famous, some not), describing, ever so eloquently, vampires as alluring, dangerous creatures of the night–a mix of eternal youth, terrifying perfection, and dark romance. And with all of this, of course, they describe Kyuketu Samurai exactly! Written long ago or yesterday, these words were written for her.

To begin, Anne Rice wrote, in Interview with the Vampire, “I was a newborn vampire, weeping at the beauty of the night.” This quote captures the overwhelming, sensory transformation into a creature of the dark who sees the nocturnal world with fresh, immortal eyes, just as Kyuketu. What was a thick blanket of human dullness is now, for her, a focus on a million beautifully clear pieces. For Kyuketu, the darkness is no longer a void of blackness; it’s a vivid tapestry, full of new sensations, tastes, and experiences no mortal can know. What fun!

In Dracula, Bram Stoker wrote, regarding Lucy Westerna transformed, “The sweetness was turned to adamantine, heartless cruelty, and the purity of voluptuous wantonness.” Here, Stoker highlights how a vampire’s beauty shifts from innocent Victorian angelic grace into a powerful, hypnotic, and fatal seduction…as we see with Kyuketu Samurai! With her, pulchritude and danger are complimentary and captivating. As foolish humans, we resist at first. But in the end, she always wins!

“Clearly, my stunning beauty has clouded your mind,” wrote Richelle Mead, in Frostbite. Here, we have a playful nod to the trope just mentioned–that vampires use their striking, flawless looks as an absolute weapon of distraction…again, just as Kyuketu does! Tropes are tropes for a reason. For Kyuketu, it’s for truth undeniable.

From Stephenie Meyer’s Breaking Dawn: “Her eyes were a shocking, vivid crimson, but they weren’t monstrous. They were like burning jewels, drawing everyone in the room into her absolute stillness.”  And in Kyuketu’s eyes–deep red, intense, and hypnotic–are the sweetest of traps no mortal can escape! Deadly but divine, her fiery orbs are a phoenix, vitalized and reborn every moment. With ancient knowledge and eternities of time, she sees. Look into her eyes and be reborn today!

“Vampires get the joy of flying around and living forever. They’re very rich, or aristocratic…so sexy and powerful–they’re so otherworldly; they have eternal life and youth.” Highlighted here is the enduring appeal of the vampire, their aristocratic grace and untouched youth setting them apart from other decaying monsters…just as Kyuketu is so enduring, so appealing, so set apart, and anything but a “decaying monster.” Rather than “decaying” she is rejuvenating; rather than a “monster,” she is the antithesis. She is a paradox of paranormal pulchritude, eternally bearing gifts for humans; her blessings heal with one hand and haunt with the other. Walking the line between angel and predator, she’s a timeless wonder, with generosity both intoxicating and terrifying.

Finally, if literary quotes and Kyuketu’s photos aren’t enough, her very own words will do the rest! Witness here the power of her poses and prose together–a portfolio of beauty and terror, tempting and alluring, compelling and repelling–repelling for only a moment, as an instinct, foolish and fearful! But after the impulse, everything is better with Kyuketu! “It’s honestly so stupid,” she says. “Looking at you makes me wonder. How are you so okay with staying in that body? I never want to go back to it again. So come on! Hurry up and come over here!” At Space Jockey Reviews, we’ll time travel to yesterday to be there sooner!

“I can’t hold back anymore,” Kyuketu says, feeling your pulse. “The scent of your blood has been calling to me all along. Don’t be scared? Becoming a vampire is the best.” Yes! Even without a pulse, with her, you’ll feel more alive than ever. Even cold, as a vampire, your life has just begun, with warmth a fading memory, wanted nevermore!

“Why go through the pointless suffering? How can you miss anything when everything is so much better? Why not quit being human already?” Kyuketu says. “Let’s drink blood together!” Cheers! Or “À ta santé,” as the French would say!

“The fact that your heart’s pounding like that already means you want it, right? You’ve got that look on your face like you want to be like me. It’s okay. I’ll change you right away!” says Kyuketu. To her heightened senses, your desperate pulse is the loudest noise in the world and beautiful music! “If not for me,” she thinks, “what a waste of a beating heart you would be.”

“This is bad, seriously. I was totally fine just a moment ago. And now I can’t stop craving blood!” And we can’t stop seeing blood, as we look into her crimson-red eyes! Like staring into the reflection of a freshly opened vein or a sunset painted in blood, they are mesmerizing. What sights she has to show you, and what sights she sees!

“The scent of blood is in my head! It’s the best when it drives me crazy. Humans and all that don’t matter. You should throw it all away too. Let’s break together!” Crazy for blood? Yes! And all the better with Kyuketu!

“Are you starting to feel ashamed of being human? If that’s the case, make up your mind quickly. Will you run away, or…let me bite you and be reborn?” “Let us think about it,” we say, while shouting “Yes,” without wasting a second! Bite away, Kyuketu! Let the rebirth begin! Being born is always bloody. Being reborn a vampire is bloodier and bloody forever!

“Is there any point in being so hung up on humans? Sorry, I just don’t get it at all. If you’re gonna pick something, why something so boring. Becoming a vampire would be way more fun, like a hundred times over.” You bet! Living life as a vampire is surely a blast–an eternity of midnight adventures, superhuman powers, and better yet, an ultimate VIP pass to witness history firsthand (with fangs), forever and ever more, with death nevermore! Awesome!

“Are you still grinding away over there?” asks Kyuketu. “That’s impressive! But that kind of effort I just don’t understand. Just become a vampire and it’ll all be solved. Why go through all the pointless suffering?” Yes! Why go through all the pointless “suffering,” “grinding” through life, rather than shapeshifting through it, soaring as a bat, running as a wolf, or whatever you choose? What fun!

“You’re actually a little jealous, aren’t you? You know, you’ve been staring at my eyes and fangs this whole time. Hurry up and be honest already,” Kyuketu says, boldly tempting us, calling out our envy. Trade the warmth of a fleeting life for the cold, unchanging perfection of eternity with Kyuketu today! You know you want to!

Look into her eyes and she’ll have you! By the time you realize you are the prey, it is already too late to run. You think you are watching her, but she has already memorized the rhythm of your pulse. And as for a crucifix to keep her away, forget it! She’s wearing one for an earring above! “I’m actually quite fond of looking at them,” Kyuketu says. Surrender while you can!

“There’s a way to get stronger right in front of you, yet you deliberately choose the weaker option,” Kyuketu says. “Are you an idiot or what?” For god’s sake, don’t be an idiot! Get bitten today! Savor her fangs piercing your flesh and be human no longer!

If you’re not yet convinced, if you haven’t yet rolled back your collar for Kyuketu’s bite, “Let not your beating heart be troubled,” I say again. With Kyuketu Samurai, there’s always more blood to spill and always more souls to take, through eons of time unending. Look into her eyes and see what she sees: centuries of starlight, the slow decay of empires, and the exact moment your heart will stop beating. She has such sights to show you, with undead life to give! “Don’t be an idiot,” I say again.
