Review Requests

Thank you for your interest in Space Jockey Reviews.  The policies and procedures for submitting review requests are the same for everyone, without exception.  They are, as follows, and please read carefully:

  • I review only movies in the genres of horror, science fiction, and fantasy.  Please do not submit movies from other genres.  They will not be considered for review.
  • Submit your request, along with a link to a trailer and screener.  If there is no trailer for the movie, then providing only a screener link is acceptable.  If you would like to send me a physical copy of your movie, in DVD or Bluray format (which I prefer for ease of viewing on a larger screen), notify me of this via email—at chrisrennirt@spacejockeyreviews.com—and I will let you know where to send it.  Sending me a physical copy of your movie increases the chances of a review being written and published.
  • Submitting a movie for review does not guarantee that it will be reviewed.  I currently have a long list of review requests, as well as a long list of other content to produce.  I am also very selective in choosing what is to be reviewed.
  • If your movie is chosen, you will be notified via email or social-media message, as soon as a review of the movie is published.  Please do not send inquiries about a review request after it has been submitted.  In some cases (at my discretion), I will notify you earlier, if I have chosen to review your movie.
  • Please understand that reviews may not always be favorable; to maintain integrity with my readership, and to be ethical, I am always honest and objective.  If you are unable to take constructive and/or negative criticism of your work, please do not submit it.
  • Due to the extensive list of submissions, the waiting period may be long, even if your movie is chosen for review.
  • Finally, if you do not plan on sharing my review on social media, using quotes from it to promote your film (if the review is favorable), and/or using it for publicity purposes of some type (film festivals, movie posters, promotional ads, etc.), please do not submit your film for review.  Getting my reviews and quotes out to the public is, of course, part of what motivates me to write…and, possibly, continue to write for you.
  • Requests should be sent to chrisrennirt@spacejockeyreviews.com

Thank you for your understanding,

Chris Rennirt – Editor in Chief at Space Jockey Reviews
