The Contagious Podcast – Ep. 29: Walt Sloan Interview

Actor, writer, producer, singer, and musician, Walt Sloan, is the guest of honor on episode 29 of The Contagious Podcast! With Walt being a man of many talents (and a great storyteller too), there’s lots to talk about, lots to listen to, and even more to enjoy! Yes! As sure as there are stars in the sky and galaxies unexplored, Walt is the red-carpet, rocket-launching man of the hour at Space Jockey Reviews…as well as The Contagious Podcast! As usual, hosts Lien Mya Nguyen Oost and Chris Rennirt ask all the right questions, going where no one ever expects, in another interview not to miss!

What’s the story about Walt’s beginnings in acting, and how did music set the course? What about his story as a singer in The Buckthorns, and what’s origin the group’s name–an invasive plant? What’s more is Walt’s journey as a writer, his sports-filled past (including five gold medals as a champion roller skater) and, even more, his skills as a magician? On top of all that, with already so much, there’s still lots more with Walt!

And of course, with Fate Accompli being one of Chris Rennirt’s favorite short films, there’s lots about Walt as the calm, cool, ever-collected Gabriel–the all-business hitman Walt portrays “with perfection.” Speaking of stories (to make a storytelling/Fate Accompli combo), what about the mirror that wouldn’t break on the set? (And what a companion piece to the film’s already supernatural vibe!) As for unexpected expectations of acting with a dumpster, there’s a story for that too!

As a bonus, check out the award-winning film Fate Accompli, starring Walt Sloan, in its entirety (free on YouTube), with a link below! Also, don’t miss a classic song from Walt’s singing group The Buckthorns (also below), as well as links to his official website, resume page on ActorsAccess.com, and more!
