Yaorenmao Ririchiyo (咬人猫): “The Biting Cat”

Article by Chris Rennirt

Yaorenmao Ririchiyo (咬人猫) is a live-action anime sensation, aesthetic wonder, songstress, model, dancer and master of mesmerizing movement, surely the muse of many an artist, lover of beauty and overall awesomeness.  Dynamic in a video or frozen in a photo, as a genie from a bottle, a belly-dancing granter of wishes or cosplaying cutie, she captivates…effortlessly and always.  If there was only one Youtube video we could watch forever at SJR, it would be the one above, starring none other than Yaorenmao Ririchiyo (on the right, without glasses) and an unnamed match of a muse in unison (on the left).  And, if you’re like us, you’ll watch the video more times than you can count; currently at 4,701,272 views on Youtube and over 43,000 followers on Twitter, lots of others are certainly watching too!  As for Yaorenmao’s nickname, 咬人猫 (Chinese translating to “Biting Cat”)…my, oh, my!

The beautiful Yaorenmao Ririchiyo (咬人猫), in a stunning photo from one of her many song and dance videos on Youtube.  Yes!  The cat ears and the French maid costume are purr-fect!

What’s so captivating about this office video gone viral?  First, of course, it’s the two business-skirted office workers who take time out to dance…most pretentiously and suddenly.  Setting work, keyboards, and file folders aside, ditching blazers and ties on cue, they begin with the music, never flinching as they stare at those who watch.  Also captivating, of course, is the hit song “Shin Takarajima,” by Jpop’s Sakanaction.  We admit that, with all the Japanese and Chinese language involved, we didn’t know the song’s title at first.  But, thanks to Google’s “Search a Song” feature, we know now!

With Yaorenmao Ririchiyo, you get double genies (and wishes) from a single lamp!  Awesome!

What’s also making news around the universe, reverberating still, is Yaorenmao’s release of her first original music video “dududu” in July of 2020!  “I realized how hard it was to make such an original work from music to dance by myself,” she says.  “It took a year of preparation, and today I can finally bring it to you.  I hope this summer can bring you happiness and surprise!  Let’s all ‘du’ the summer away!  Looking forward to more ‘dududu’ from everyone!”  Enjoy Yaorenmao’s awesome debut music video, her “Avra K’Davarah” double-genie video, as well as breathtaking photos not to miss, right here on SJR.  As bonus, we’ve included her light-speed, clothes-changing “Thumbs Up!  Kitchen Version.”  From house shoes and apron to au pair in cat ears, from wedding dress to heels and office skirt, Yaorenmao is a “thumbs up” stellar siren all the way!
