TINA GUO: “Bloodlust” from a Vampire

By Chris Rennirt

Grammy-nominated cellist and composer TINA GUO is launching rockets at Space Jockey Reviews and across the galaxy with her latest vampiric single, “BLOODLUST,” just dropped today, May 8th. Teasing us with a taste of her album NANOWAR (to be released in the winter of 2026), “Bloodlust” is one sure to get the blood flowing, if not gushing. With pulsing rhythm, rising and falling, beautifully but ominously, dangerously alluring, waning and exploding with climax, it’s a dichotomy of delights, both mortal and immortal! Even Dracula would say, as written by Bram Stoker himself, “Oh what sweet music [she] makes!” Yes! Humans, aliens, and vampires alike will have “Bloodlust” on repeat to satisfy their cravings! How do we know? With a song so addictive, why not? Even the “creatures of the night” are listening!

Yes! As we say at Space Jockey Reviews, “No one can rosin a bow like Tina! And no one can pull it across cello strings so gracefully, so beautifully, yet forcefully and ferociously, just as a vampire,” with “Bloodlust” in every move! And were those fangs we spotted in Tina’s mouth, from only glimpses in the song’s video? Absolutely and ever so appropriately, yes! As addictive as this one is, no song (or vampire) could be more beautifully biting…yet inviting!

Is there more? Yes! NANOWAR, described on Facebook by Tina herself as “cyborg fury and post-apocalyptic metal/darkwave,” is just what we love most at SJR! “Are you ready for the revolution,” Tina adds. Just as the Earth revolves around the Sun and vampires come out at night, you bet! Bring it on!

What’s even better about “Bloodlust”? It’s gushing bounty of creative force, played on repeat, was the muse for this article’s writing! While the only video we can find, currently, featuring Tina, is on Facebook and X, the whole song, without Tina, is on YouTube…and we’ve embedded it below. BUT, never fear! We have screen captures above and below! Like the fangs of a vampire piercing the flesh, bloodthirsty and deep, it’s all here immortally, just as well! Enjoy! If you’re like us, you’ll enjoy it, maybe even crave it, again and again…eternally!
