Get your holy water, garlic, wooden stakes, and crucifixes ready! A new vampire tale is rising from the dead, with fresh blood to spill in the genre! What’s better (actually bloody awesome) is the movie’s heroine in a leading role–Lien Mya Nguyen Oost, as Katherine (Kat) Van Helsing, the descendant of the vampire-hunter Van Helsing himself–with Whit Whitman as Dracula!
What’s the “new blood” in the genre? What’s the story that hasn’t been told in Nosferatu news? DRACULA LOVES VAN HELSING (directed by Omo Emasealu, written by Lien Mya Nguyen Oost and Whit Whitman, from Little Monsters Entertainment) promises a tale of gothic lore and romance between archrivals, unlike any seen (or biting) in the history of bloodsucking cinema!
And what of the sanguine, action-packed synopsis do we have so far? From Facebook: “When sworn enemies collide, destiny writes a story neither of them expected. Love and darkness become entwined in an epic tale where passion defies centuries of hatred,” with “a love that was never meant to exist.” From IMDb: “After choosing mortality over eternity, Dracula risks everything for love as the descendant of Van Helsing discovers the man she loves is the monster her family has hunted for generations.” Although it’s just a teaser, it’s enough to make us crave the blood already, for a film set to begin filming in March of 2027!
Just looking at the leather-clad Lien Mya Nguyen, on the latest movie poster, donning daggers in a stance to kill, makes us want to show our fangs and be chased already! Yes! Bring on that “Forbidden Love” already, we say! A battle for life, love, and blood with Lien Mya Nguyen Oost is always on the radar at Space Jockey Reviews!
Speaking of “Forbidden Love,” it’s also the title of the new music video, written and created by Lien Mya Nguyen Oost herself! And we have it here, below!
