Billy Inaction Cast Interviews: Part Four – Billy Duckett

It’s time for part four of the Billy Inaction cast interviews! This time, it’s the interview you’ve all been waiting for–the one with the movie’s very own star, namesake, and reluctant hero. In this interview, we learn what is arguably the most important side of the story–the story of the hero we now know in life and film as Billy Ducket! Enjoy!

1.  How did you get into acting?

I got into acting when I was around 15 years old. Jimmy actually got me into it when he started I Eat Poop. At first we were just doing basic run around and film shit, but then we decided to take a turn at acting. Apparently, it turned out for the better. I have always been good with voices; I do a few in this film.

2.  Who are some of your influences or role models?

I really enjoy comedic actors, such as John Candy, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Gene Wilder, Richard Pryor, Rick Moranis, and Steve Martin, just to name a few. I also really like more serious actors like Stallone, Sam Neil, Roy Scheider, and Bruce Willis.

2.  What was your experience like on Billy Inaction?

My experience on Billy Inaction: It was a really fun ride. I enjoyed a lot of it and hated a lot of it…lol. It was quite interesting to say the least. The bedroom scene in particular was my least favorite filming in the whole movie. It was really, really hot in that room. My outfit on the bed was very uncomfortable, and I had to stay in that particular outfit for a prolonged period of time. Never again will I get into that outfit, not going to happen.

3.  You play Billy—the star of the movie. Tell us about your character.

There really isn’t much to tell about Billy in Billy Inaction. For those who know of me, there you go, that’s Billy in this film. I was always known to wear a beanie, no matter how hot it was outside. This particular beanie is shown in this film. Billy, in this film, is an unemployed gentleman who really doesn’t give two shits about nothing except for taking care of his Mom.

4.  Did you feel under extra pressure being the main character of the movie?

Honestly, I felt no extra pressure being the main star of this movie. I have always wanted to be the star of something and always knew that I could do so just had never gotten the chance until now. Hopefully those who watch this movie agree that I at least did a decent job as the main star.

5.  How much about Billy in the movie is like the real Billy?

Pretty much everything in this movie is exactly like the real Billy. From the skull beanie, to the long hair, to the long beard, to the dress style, to the tooth, to the sock. Even the cheesy lines you hear are phrases that I have said before. All of them actually–especially my favorite one about holding in farts at a young age.

6.  What are your greatest challenges as an actor?

My greatest challenges as an actor is to one day become more than someone to laugh at.

7.  What do you find most rewarding about being an actor?

It’s an easy job to do. You just have to put your mind to it, and it can be done. The most rewarding thing about acting, however, is getting together with friends and actually making something that is worthwhile, and something that will be watched many times and always remembered.

Billy Duckett on the set of BIA with Ashlea Boyer, Theresa Plappert, and director Jimmy Humphrey. Wondering what’s going on here? You’ll have to see the movie to find out.

8.  What else is on your resume?

I was Christian Bale’s character from American Psycho. I have played as Michael Myers, Freddy, Jason, and The Great La Pumpkin. In a film we did called Bastard, I played a character named Quidditch who had a very groggy British accent. I have played cameo parts in The Shawn and Josh Show and Super Hero, starring Brandon Ingram.

9.  What are your long-term goals?

My long term goal is to be able to continue making films with friends, to continue having fun making these films, to always be remembered on film, and to never be forgotten.

10.  Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Not much else to say except that everyone needs to watch Billy Inaction. Be it young, teen, or elderly, everyone needs to see this film. It is something that will not be forgotten, and I assure you that you will feel like a better person afterwards. If you like comedy, drama, and action, then this is the film for you.

At this point, lyrics from an ever-awesome Bonnie Tyler song seem most appropriate: “Where have all the good men gone, and where are all the gods? Where’s the street-wise Hercules to fight the rising odds? Isn’t there a white knight upon a fiery steed?” Yes, as many would say, there certainly is…and his name is Billy Duckett! 😀
